Okay, so you want to get your nose done and you are blind as a bat without visual aids. Well there are a few options which you could consider: 1. Have laser treatment on your eyes before your rhino op, pricey but very effective. A friend of mine got this done this year and now has 20/20 vision. 2. Glasses are a definate no no the first week after your rhino op and for several months afterwards due to the bridge bone setting, don't want any dents now on your new nose! However, I have mastered the art of wrapping masking tape around the legs of my glasses and across my forehead in order to suspend my glasses above my nose. An extra strip of masking tape across the forehead to cover the straggly ends to make it extra attractive does the job. Disclaimer: Don't recommend this look for nights out! Be warned! 3. Contact lenses are a blessing but I can't wear mine for more than 9/10hrs a day, my eye's get dry and tired. I couldn't wear contacts the first four days after my rhino op because my eyes were dryer than normal, so being short sighted I sat right in front of the t.v., spent a lot of time on my pc during this time cos I didn't have to squint to read text. So there are your options. If anyone has anything to add that I could perhaps try out until I can wear glasses properly please let me know. Heal well fellow post-opers, Kate |
